The Mini Book Collective at the Art & Light Gallery
opened to a banner crowd for First Friday in Greenville's West End. Teresa had the entrance decorated beautifully with an assemblage of old books, pages fluttering in the wind. Entering the gallery, you were greeted by books spread across tables, white cotton gloves and a paper mobile installation hanging from above. My
new mixed media series,
'dreamy dreamhouse' was exhibited along with the work of other resident artists Kent & Teresa. The atmosphere was dreamy and soft, thoughtfully curated and arranged. Thanks Teresa for another wonderful opening! Part of my family came in for the opening...afterward we went out to dinner and found the rest of Greenville just as lively as the arts district! As we left town, fireworks signalling the end of the baseball game at Fluor Field lit up the night sky.
The
show will be on display the entire month of April. If you didn't make it out for the reception, you can visit the galleries in Greenville on Pendleton Street, Thursdays and Friday from 10-5.
I wish I could live inside your artwork.
