Drawings from Italy

My sketchbook is almost halfway full.  It is week two of my residency at Terra Vivente Art Studios in Guardia Sanframondi, Italy.  We returned from a three day trip to Venice and Rome on Friday; it was an inspiring few days and it feels like things are finally starting to go somewhere with my artwork.  I have three 18 x 24" sketches in the works.  I've pulled imagery from the plants I've observed, some through careful studying, others a fleeting sketch done from the train window.
